1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.I have used this panel for a year to keep my smartphone fully charged (even on overcast days) and I'm buying several more for my tablet (already tested) and PCs. Most disappointed buyers I've read do not understand electrical current conversions (amps to watts, etc.) and blame the panel for not producing as promised. That is not true. So, use this easy rule of thumb: This panel will recharge ALL USB-powered devices because USB-anything draws 0.5 amps and this panel is max-rated at 1.2 amps. Subtracting for reduced power on overcast days, plus waste caused by resistance in wires and connectors, that means that you can throw away 0.7 amps and still have enough power for recharge. Bottom line: l panek per USB-powered device. One more note: do not use inverters to produce AC for reconversion to DC, because that throws away up to 50% of current for nothing. Use a simple car charger (from any nearby truck stop) so you go DC to DC all the way. You may have to use a 1- male ti 2-female 12 VDC splitter because both the panel and the car charger end in male connectors. Current will flow through the two female connectors even when the male connector is not plugged in.
